A: One of my buddies at the gym was already employed at Spain Commercial. He told me everything I would/could be doing at the company & how great working for Mr. Spain was.  I decided to put an application in & the same day I got an interview & was hired on to be a truck driver.

𝐐:  𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛?

A:One of the most rewarding parts of my job, now that I’m a superintendent, is witnessing the transformation of a project from start to finish. There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing a space or building go from a set of plans to a fully realized structure. What truly makes it all worth it, though, is watching the client’s reaction when they walk through the space. Seeing their eyes light up as they experience the changes firsthand.

𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫?

A: No journey is without its bumps in the road, and construction—like any other field—is no exception. Mistakes are bound to happen. Whether it’s a small miscalculation or an unexpected issue on the job, the key to growth lies in how you respond.

𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞?

A:  Definitely my family. When I first started in this field, I was known as “Bieber”—a jokester who didn’t take things too seriously. For years, I coasted along, enjoying the work but not fully embracing the responsibility that came with it.  Becoming a father was the turning point that pushed me to mature, grow, and develop into who I am today. I  I am no longer just caring for myself, I have a wife & two sons.  I made a promise to them & to myself that I will do anything to succeed to give them everything & more.

𝐐: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧?

A: I am currently working on full remodel of the Hampton Citizen Center/Boys & Girls Club. This project has not only been one of the largest I’ve had the opportunity to manage, but it’s also incredibly meaningful because of the impact it will have on the children who use the facility. It is amazing to be able create a space where kids can focus on their schoolwork, engage in after-school activities, and truly thrive. Everyone here at the boys and girls has been amazing to work with & seeing everyone’s faces light up with the progress of the building is really amazing to see.

𝐐:𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤?

A: Definitely the gym. I don’t do much else besides hang around the house with the family which is just as fun as anything else.

𝐐: 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞.

A: Oh man there’s to many to count honestly working with anybody on the Spain team is a great time and bound to have some sort of funny moment that happens.

𝐐 : 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲?

A: Show up on time stay focused &  do what you need to do to progress through the company. Hard work pays off!
